Molly Francisco: Primary Science
Molly Francisco comes by her expertise and passion for education very naturally. She grew up attending Kolbe Academy, a private Catholic school her parents helped start, and in which they both taught and were school administrators for 20 years with heroic dedication. Her family was also very active in the Pro-life movement, and these principles combined to root in her the strong determination to guard and serve the needs of children, who all deserve a wholesome and holistic childhood. After graduating from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a BA in History, she pursued her teaching career by being certified according to the Montessori method of education, and also Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Molly worked in several Montessori schools in California before returning to teach at Kolbe, and after her marriage she continued by homeschooling her children and assisting in several homeschooling programs. Molly enjoys her free time, hiking, gardening, and creating art.
Helen Freer Thompson: Primary Music
Helen comes from a family of professional musicians and educators - She has many years of experience both learning and teaching musicianship. She began leading a music readiness class for young children about 8 years ago under the direction of her Mother who is a certified classroom and Kodaly instructor as well as a wonderful musician. Since then she has fit in some form of music class most years between growing and homeschooling her own children.
Julie Schulte: Primary, Elementary, Middle and Secondary Art
Julie will be teaching primary, elementary, and secondary art for the second year of Campion Hall. She leads Sacred Heart Artists Guild, a mobile art studio committed to teaching traditional and classical methods of the visual arts to ages 5 and up in Northwest Houston and Montgomery County. As an artist, she created sacred art in ceramics, painting, printmaking, and collage. She has been teaching art classes (ages 4-18) in public and private communities since 1997. Primary students will gain exploratory exposure to the tenets of art education, elementary students will enhance exposure and upper level students will gain increasingly technical and expressive exposure, all through a traditional Catholic perspective using the liturgical calendar and Catholic art history as a backbone.
Ginny Cunningham: Sacred Choral Music, Elementary
Ginny Cunningham: While homeschooling her 3 children, Ginny Cunningham operates Maris Stella Performing Arts, part of a small initiative to encourage truth, goodness and beauty in the performing arts. Growing up in northeastern Ohio, Mrs. Cunningham spent her adolescence singing with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus and dancing with the Dee Hillier Dance Company. She graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Millikin University in Decatur, IL in 2000. From 2000-2010 Mrs. Cunningham performed in over 15 inaugural productions with Holland America Line, spent 5 years as a resident singer/dancer at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster, PA and guest starred in a number of musical revues at The Charleston Music Hall in Charleston, SC. During her first 7 years in Texas, she had the pleasure of serving as cantor at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and directed the St Anthony’s Family Choir.
Marissa Kaercher: World Geography and Science, Elementary
Marissa Kaercher will be teaching Elementary Science and History. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in History & Secondary Education from John Carroll University. Her and her husband, Gordon, are from Pittsburgh, PA and have lived in the Woodlands since 2015. She has 3 children, ages 8, 5, and 3.
Jessica Lambert: Latin Teacher, Math and Science tutor
Jessica and her husband, Keaton, have 6 children ages 10 to 1. They’ve been homeschooling for 6 years. They spent five years involved in a homeschool hybrid, during which time she taught Memoria Press’s First Form Latin and Henle Latin. Mrs. Lambert majored in chemical engineering at Notre Dame and then went on to get her Masters in Education. She taught math and science at the high school level for three years before staying home with her kids. She has since tutored all levels of high school math and science on and off and has been homeschooling for 5 years.
Samuel Sentmanat: Sacred Music I and Sacred Music II
Samuel grew up homeschooled where a love of music and art was fostered early on. He began studies on the violin at ten years old and became heavily invested in music of the renaissance and medieval era throughout his teenage years. While attending the University of St. Thomas, Samuel worked closely with Mr. Edward Lawrence, retired Houston Ballet violist and teacher. Over the last decade Samuel has enjoyed the opportunity to teach string instruments, general music and choir for all grades, direct church choral music and performances. Tomas Diaz: Ancient Rome, Medieval History
Tomas Diaz has 10+ years of experience in homeschool education, offering courses in history, philosophy, theology, and creative writing. In 2010, he graduated with a BA in Theology from the University of St. Thomas, and in 2012 from St. Mary's Seminary with a Master's in Theological Studies. He is an avid reader of science fiction and dabbles in web development
Traci Sentmanat: Drama and Theater
After studying drama and phenomenological psychology at the University of Dallas, Traci received a B.A. degree in English with a certification in secondary education at Sam Houston State University. While homeschooling her children for 27 years, Traci taught acting and theater for homeschool groups and at Holy House Academy. Traci has taught the Theater classes at Campion Hall for the past two years, where she has directed; A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Macbeth, and What You Will.
